Earth Gallery photographs are available as high-quality inkjet prints. The inkjet printing method offers an economical way to print photographs with excellent color control and near photographic quality. Although not archival, recent improvements in lightfastness of the inkjet media have made it possible to produce inkjet prints with longevity comparable to conventional color photographic printing. Our inkjet prints are produced with the Epson 1270 Photo printer using Epson inks and premium glossy or heavyweight matte papers. Printed on glossy paper, the prints have been rated for a 10 year lifespan in normal viewing conditions. The heavyweight matte-finish prints are rated for 25 years. Either option is printed at 1440 x 720 dpi resolution in a 6 color process. The prints are currently available unmounted; mounted in an acid-free archival mat; or matted and mounted in a hardwood frame. Inkjet prints are available in two image sizes ranging from 8 inches by 12 inches to 12 inches by 18 inches. Look in our Print Prices section for Inkjet print prices and sizes. Earth Gallery photographs are available in limited sizes as Type R prints. These images are printed directly from 35mm transparencies onto Type R photographic paper using a traditional optical enlarger. These prints typically show some increase in contrast when compared to LightJet Digital Prints. The prints are currently available unmounted; mounted in an acid-free archival mat; or matted and mounted in a hardwood frame. Type R prints are available in two image sizes ranging from 8 inches by 12 inches to 16 inches by 24 inches. Look in our Print Prices section for Type R print prices and sizes. The LightJet printing method offers unexcelled color control and image sharpness. The archival rating of 70 years in normal viewing conditions surpasses all conventional color photographic printing methods. LightJet 5000 prints are produced from high-resolution digital files using three colored laser beams on Fugi Crystal Archive photographic paper. The prints are currently available unmounted; mounted in an acid-free archival mat; or matted and mounted in a hardwood frame. Custom cut double mats are available for all Earth Gallery photographic and inkjet prints. Each mat is hand-cut from an acid-free archival matboard in a soft-white color. Mats are generally cut with a 3-inch to 4-inch border surrounding the artwork on each side. Mat sizes and prices are listed in our Print Prices table.

Earth Gallery matted photographs and inkjet prints are available framed in a custom hardwood frame. All hardwoods are farm-raised non-endangered species. Each frame is custom cut and assembled from ash or cherry. Frames are natural color and treated with a light wax or finishing oil. Custom frames are also available in maple, oak, or walnut upon request. Frames are assembled to order if not in stock and may take 7 to 14 days to ship.
